Upneeq

Say Goodbye

To

Tired, Droopy Lids

The Treatment

Upneeq activates the muscle within your eyelid to temporarily open your eye more.

1 drop is applied to the affected eye(s) once per day and within 15-20 minutes your eyes will appear much more open.

Upneeq drops are safe for use for contact lens wearers and for those who use other eye drop products. Side effects are minimal and can include transient burning, stinging, redness, or irritation.

The End Result

Upneeq eye drops temporarily open your eye more fully, making you look alert and rested. Shadows around the eyes appear somewhat reduced.

During clinical trials the average upper eye-lid lift after applying Upneeq was 1mm. While this may sound like a small amount, as you can see below in the before and after photos, the results are very noticeable.

Results last 6-8 hours. Upneeq drops can be used daily, if desired, or just on special occasions. It's the perfect treatment for people looking for a non-invasive way to reduce that tired look.

Before & After

Upneeq eye drop treatment yields rapid and sometimes dramatic results within about 15-20 minutes. See here a picture of one patient before treatment, with just one eye treated, and after both eyes were treated.

What Is Upneeq?

Upneeq is a topical eye drop treatment that temporarily lifts and opens your eyes making you look rested, alert, and approachable.

Acquired upper lid ptosis, or low-lying lids, can affect your ability to read, drive, or use a computer and can cause you to look tired or asymmetrical. Tired eyes are a common complaint of our patients, and many patients are even considering upper eyelid surgery to open their eyes more fully.

While Upneeq does not take the place of surgical interventions, it is one more wonderful treatment option that pairs well with neuromodulators and PRP undereye injections to restore and reawaken the eye area.

FAQ'S

Is the procedure painful?

Generally no, it is relatively painless. There will be a minor stinging sensation during the injection and a little redness and swelling that goes away fairly quickly.

What do Botox and Dysport do?

Botox and Dysport are FDA-approved products that relax the facial muscles in order to help soften the wrinkles between your brows, forehead, and the crow’s feet around the eyes.

How long does it take?

Your Botox | Dysport procedure will start with a 30 to 60-minute in-depth consultation to discuss your goals, concerns, and medical history, and assess your facial anatomy. Actual treatment time depends on the amount of units you need, but is typically 10-30 minutes.

How is urinary incontinence diagnosed?

The condition is diagnosed mainly on the pattern of symptoms. Keeping a urinary diary (a record of daily urination, urine accidents and fluid intake) can help your health care provider determine patterns and establish the working diagnosis. The provider will also ask questions about your general health, your history of incontinence, past surgeries, illnesses and any medication you're taking. A physical examination, including a pelvic exam, will be done, and a urine sample will be tested.

Sometimes other, more complicated tests may be needed to establish or confirm the diagnosis or to guide treatment.

How does incontinence relate to age?

Incontinence should not be considered to be a normal condition of aging. Elderly patients should be evaluated in essentially the same way that patients of any age should be evaluated. Incontinence is certainly more common as patients age, but incontinence can be seen in children, adolescents, and adults.

Why should I care about my bladder control problem?

People often live with incontinence without seeking help. Many cases can be cured or controlled with appropriate treatment. Urinary incontinence is the second leading cause of institutionalizing elderly people. The problem can contribute to decreased socialization, decreased quality of life and depression. Getting up at night to urinate also increases the risk of falling and fracturing a hip.
